Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to present the edition of the statutes of the Vilnius and Samogitian chapters by W. Pawlikowska-Butterwick and Liudas Jovaiša. The presentation is preceded by a description of the history of both dioceses and comments on the role of statutes as the source of the particular law of both chapters. Attention was given to the authors of the statutes, as well as their content. The editing base and the critical apparatus are discussed. Finally, attention was drawn to supplementary illustrations.
