Summary/Abstract: This study examines the state of the tour operator activity in Bulgaria and the European Union for the period 2007-2017. The analysis of the activity is based on several key indicators - number of tour operators, employment in the sector, financial indicators (total turnover, profitability) and labour productivity. The main trends in the development of the enterprises in the sector of tour operator activity are outlined.
