Summary/Abstract: The development of the information society has led to the creation of new instruments through which the authorities can reach their readers, which is why cyberspace has recently become a place of activity for many entities, including countries and international organizations (including the European Union). The effect of this phenomenon is the emergence of so-called digital diplomacy as a new quality in soft EU diplomacy. EU diplomacy currently uses many e-instruments, m .in. Facebook, Myspace, Daily Motion, YouTube etc. These are very good tools for improving and warming the image of the Union on the international scene. This kind of diplomacy was formed only at the beginning of the 21st century and has a promising prospect of development ahead of them, so it is worth considering in which direction this evolution should follow. Digital diplomacy is in fact a response to the problem of the Union's communication with the outside world and the phenomenon of the growing number of Internet users.
