Summary/Abstract: The problems of the modern labour market can be seen both in the macroeconomic, regional and local dimension. In all of the mentioned areas, labour market is ruled by the general regularities, however the local labour market has its distinctive features that provide the additional conditions, characteristic only for the exact district or region. In this regard, correct identification of the major problems and needs, which are produced by the local labour market, becomes crucial. In overcoming these difficulties and meeting the needs, the local authorities are raising finance from the European Funds. local authority of the Ropczycko-Sędziszowski district can be presented as an example of the regional and local authorities unit in Podkarpackie voivodeship, which is effectively using the European Funds. The main aim of this study is to examine the area of absorption of the European Funds and their impact on reducing the scale of the labour market problems in Ropczycko-Sędziszowski district. The analysis shows the use of the funds in the context of selected project in the years 2014-2015.
