Summary/Abstract: The role of forensic expertise becomes more and more important. Two factors contribute to this: first of all, the very nature of expertise, as a source of reliable, objective information about the facts, and thefact that forensic expertise is constantly being improved, attracting the most recent advances in scientific andtechnological progress. The article deals with the concept of the expert's conclusion in Ukraine. Legislativebase. First of all, due to the use of new and more advanced methods, the possibilities of studying traditionalobjects are increased in order to obtain additional information. And, secondly, it becomes possible to explorenew, previously unreachable objects.
