Summary/Abstract: Information and communication technologies, IT are instruments that are nowadays supposed to improve management in every area of activity. Education as one of the most important areas of the State's operation thanks to new technologies has gained new management tools. The research problem presented in the article is the analysis of the functioning of IT solutions in the education management process based on the Educational Information System (SIO) and formulating conclusions as to the effectiveness of the SIO as a tool for managing education.
