Summary/Abstract: The legend about Vladimir and Kosara, which makes the 36th chapter of Letopis Popa Dukljanina, is a medieval hagiographic text with the noticeable motives and compositional models characteristic for oral literature. This paper analyses the model of murder during a hunt in the legends and in folk epic poems. Adjusting to the genre, the model somewhat changed its form. In the poems, it is usually related to the name of Vukašin Mrnjavcevic. The author noticed that folk poems include quite frequent contaminations of the motive of murder during a hunt with the motives of the murder on water, fratricide, murder of a ruler and fights for the throne.
