Summary/Abstract: In te work are viewed inter-textual connections which are realised with Serbian medieval literature in novels Siege of St. Salvation church by Goran Petrovic and the Death of monastic student by Dragi Mihajlovski. While Goran Petrovic made his connection with the old Serbian literature thanks to hagiographies written by Danilo II, on the other side Dragi Mihajlovski makes it trough the record of Maricka battle by monk Isaiah. Thanks to a common source that is reflected not only in the abundant use of quotations from medieval works, but also from a similar choice of themes, motives and manners of storytelling, these contemporary texts show an undeniable (undoubted) intimacy.
