Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the spiritual and literary characteristics of elder Ivan Vishenski`s preserved heritage. In this study Byzantine-Patristic and mystic-Hesychastic theology, both of which had a great influence on the works of the elder, have been taken into account. Additional information about the lost works of Ivan Vishenski has been included in the article.
