Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the film by Dziga Vertov (1896–1954) "Man with a Movie Camera" (1929). The purpose of this research is to identify the specificity of the represented image of a human. The author uses the methodology of the philosophical and aesthetic analysis of the film and the deconstruction method. We consider the analysis of Vertov’s oeuvre given in the works of S. Krakauer, J. Deleuze, and Y. Tsiv'ian. The author proves that the character of Vertov’s film is a perfect superman (a machine-man, a collective-man). And this character represents the simulations of everyday life, which are typical for the era of constructivism. This character is the result of two processes: montage and the new method of work with a movie camera. Camera’s eye (Kino-Eye) is deprived of subjectivity and limitations of the individual human, and it allows passing a vision of the emerging dynamic technical world from inside the processes occurring in it.
