Agile Methods of Software Development and Modern Management Concepts

Summary/Abstract: In the last decades we can see a lot of new conceptions and methods of organizationmanagement both in global science and in practice. Among these conceptions andmethods the most important seem to be those referring to change management. The socalled lean management and agile management are worth mentioning here. In times ofe-economy, not only organization management is important, but also IT product creationmanagement. Information theory as a relatively young science discipline derives a lot fromolder disciplines such as production engineering, management engineering and managementscience. In this work modern management conceptions as well as software developmentmethodologies are presented. Looking into software development methodologiesone can see analogies to management conceptions used in other branches, mainly in industry.In connection with that, an attempt to identify and discuss these analogies hasbeen made in the further part of the article.
