Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the description of dynamic peculiarities in the name system of Lyntupy situated in the western border part of Vitebsk region under existing conditions of close historical and cultural contacts with adjoining regions in the second part of XXth century. The specificity of the adaptation process of Catholic personal names in Russian – Belarusian language environment is studied.
