Summary/Abstract: In the world of far-reaching globalisation and the rapid development of information technology, digitisation of the public sector seems to be inevitably benefiting both administration as a whole and its customers. At the time of Poland’s accession to the European Union, the process intensified due to the standards set by the EU. A similar action was taken by Estonia which joined the European Union at the same time as Poland. Over the years, there have been significant differences between these countries in the development of digital public administration. Estonia, in a relatively short period and with limited financial resources, has become one of the most digital countries in Europe. Thus, Poland should be inspired by Estonian practice as regards the implementation of eGovernment.
