The influence of language and religion on maintain and development sense of identity of the German minority in Poland

Summary/Abstract: In the article the author presents specific of the German minority in Poland after 1989, shows the issues concerning the national and ethnic identity of the German minority members in Poland. The author ponders on it, what influence on sense of belonging to the German nation of the present German minority members, especially how is the influence of language and religion on maintain and development sense of identity of the German minority members. First of all he focuses on the description of the facts concerning education system for children and youth from the German minority in Poland and religion life of (the catholic and evangelical faithful) this minority members. In the context of the discuss issues the author mentions too role of mass media of the German minority in Poland and introduction bilingual names of built-up areas.
