Summary/Abstract: The subject that we are considering is current and often discussed by the mass media. The problems is this: should the State offer financial support for «in vitro» pregnancies? For by so doing the state may be regarded as acting on an ideological level, because «in vitro» is not a treatment to cure sterility, but artificial fertilization. A doctor does not restore natural fertility to any women, and she will still be unable to give birth to a child as a consequent result of the marital act. Considering the above the State should only give support to medical resources which aim to cure sterility. All other programmes of treatment will be regarded as unethical.
