Summary/Abstract: At the end of the 16th century, in 1594, in the Romanian Principalities outside the Carpathians broke a rebellion against the Ottoman Empire. As a result of this compromise reached between the Poles and Turks, in Moldova was established a system of dual suzerainty, Polish and Ottoman. After, to these military conflicts is added also the political instability. And yet, the period in question did not characterize only through the political and military rivalry, but also through diplomatic negotiations, even though they have experienced an inconsistent line. The Moldavian voivodes were interested in strengthen not only their own reign and to obtain government extension, but also international prestige, al-most immediately after a major confrontation through settlement of the parties to the negotiations table to create a new frame, favorable, of mediation, process in which the Moldavian voivodes have played a very active role.
