Summary/Abstract: The issue of treatment, care and support for people living with HIV (PLHIV) in Macedonia has gained a new dimension in the last ten years. Namely, with the introduction of the therapy for the treatment of HIV infection (the so-called highly active antiretroviral therapy-HAART), this disease begins to represent a chronic condition that can lead to a long and quality life. In addition, the successful management of the patient's health problems is accompanied by numerous psychosocial problems, making HIV / AIDS increasingly a social problem.
