Applications of Environmental Taxes in Environment Economy

Summary/Abstract: Environment and economy are not sustainable enough so that one cannot achieve anything without the other. The concept of eco-economy has been introduced and widely discussed in related literature during the last few years, and consists of words related to ecology and economy. Environmental taxes are meant to benefit from this new idea, and when put into practice, it has proven successful in the EU, especially in applications. Although there is a broad consensus to reduce CO2 emissions from vehicles on the road through taxation within the European Union, it has not been identified how it can benefit the eco-friendly tax system yet.
