The linguistic norm between real discursive practice and social attitude

Summary/Abstract: The analysis of the social and individual speakers provides a series of perspectives which mirror the fact that language and society must be comprehended in a complementarily relationship, taking into account the exact stable correlations that sustain them. The structure of the language and the structure of the society present independent variations; thus, we cannot speak about a well-determined isomorphism.The linguistic phenomenon is permanently and visibly influenced / (re)modelled by some elements which pertain to a field situated somewhere between norm and usage. The modifications of the norm/norms and the continuing acceptance of the linguistic transformations define the process of enrichment and modernization of the language, along with its adaptation to the linguistic requirements on the part of the speakers’ communities.
