Summary/Abstract: In this research, entitled „Our [Romanian] Antique Christianity; The First Ecumenical Synod of Nicaea et alia”, the author (V. V. Muntean) discusses selectively some important themes from the anthology Fontes Historiae Daco-Romanae Christianitatis, published in Iaşi in the year 2008. The analysis of some assertions of the publisher (N. Zugravu) from the preliminaries leads to the conclusion that it was not intended – as it was expected – to point out the diachronic reality, but to contest, by hook or by crook, the mission of the Saints Apostles Andrew and Philip in Dobrudja, the old Scythia Minor. The present micro-study tries to argue the historicity of this evangelization and also the presence of a bishop from Tomis (Constanţa today) at the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea in A.D. 325, and in the end to correct other groundless affirmations from the so-called „Introductory Study” which precedes the narrative sources found in Fontes.
