Summary/Abstract: The article presents an F-type light-clay amphora bearing ΒΑΣΙΛ dipinto, which is one of the most well known Late Roman finds in the chora of the city of Tauric Chersonesos (farmstead 227 on land plot no. 150 (227)). It is dated to the second-third quarters — late 4th century AD. The research has shown that the inscription on the neck may be connected with its production or transportation, and it is not the name of the farmstead’s owner. The amphora is an important chronological mark for a great number of finds both in the chora and the city-site of Chersonesos and other ancient centers of the Black Sea region.
