Summary/Abstract: The author presented in her article letters, documents and media clippings to highlight the thoughts, deeds and actions of Archbishop Alojzije Stepinac during the years 1941 through 1945. She did that to present an account by which the readers will have an opportunity to understand the historical context and within this context evaluate Dr. Stepinac's conduct and predicament in his role as the head of the Archdiocese of Zagreb and as a citizen and human being.
