Summary/Abstract: Glioma is the most common primary brain tumor in adults and glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most aggressive of all human tumors. Prognostic factors should be widely known to implement new approaches. This short communication reviews the science of tumor metabolism and discusses the effects of complete resection, role of Karnofsky performance status, importance of younger age and mechanism of calorie restriction with ketogenic diet.
