Summary/Abstract: Protection of monuments is one of tasks of the civil service, fulfilled by government administration and self-government. The Act on the Protection of Monuments and the Guardianship of Monuments is defining forms of the protection of monuments typical of the government administration and self-government. The article constitutes entering provisions of law regulating forms of protection like the register of monuments, list of national treasures and regarding as the monument history.
