Practical application of the law to unmanned aircraft in Latvia

Summary/Abstract: This article deals with the problems of legal support when flying an unmanned aerial vehicle in the modern conditions of commercial and other activities. The aim of this study is the analysis of the regulations in the aviation legislation of Latvia and making suggestions for improvement. The author pays special attention to the safe management of different types of unmanned radio-controlled vehicles. Based on the practice in the development of new models and flights of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as on the analysis of existing legislation, some recommendations for the national legislation of Latvia are proposed.
