The experience of Deutsche Welle tv (2013–2015)

Summary/Abstract: Germany entered a new stage in the development of its foreign policy in 2014 as Europe and the world were challenging some new crises, which reflected on media coverage.At the same time, Germany launched a new European initiative for the Western Balkans. This article is focused on this main concept for regional cooperation „The Western Balkans’Berlin process“, but also on the new agenda of the German public international broadcaster Deutsche Welle, which is one of the instruments of the German public diplomacy.The article presents the results of survey on DW-TV program (2013–2015) regarding stories from and about Western Balkans’ countries, analyzes and underlines different approaches to TV coverage and looks for parallels between political and media interests on the region.
