STRATEGIC CAUSES AND LEGAL IMPLICATIONS OF THE PRESENT EUROPEAN REFUGEE CRISES

Summary/Abstract: This paper focuses on identifying the major causes that generated the current refugee crisis in Europe, causes whose primary source are political internal transformations in the countries of the Middle East and North Africa region, which have led to strategic changes in the region. Regime change, the emergence of new local actors who have become regionally widespread, the different influence of former Cold War strategic competitors caused in our opinion the exodus of the population that Europe is facing these days. Legal implications will be explored at the international law level on the status of new regional and international actors, but also at the national level through the content of National Defense Strategy.
