Summary/Abstract: The author of the article investigates the meaning of the body in the spirituality of blessed Charles de Foucauld. He shows the dignity of the human body created in the image and likeness of God. This dignity has grown immeasurably through the incarnation of the Word and the whole act of redemption. The text also emphasizes the importance of the Mystical Body of Christ and of the Eucharist in the Christian spirituality. All this constitutes an element of the corporal experience of God, which requires an adequate asceticism.
