Role of master’s personality in folk art development of Hutsulshchyna in XIX century

Summary/Abstract: Our study is oriented to realization of complex analysis of the role of master’s personality in folk art development of Hutsulshchyna of XIX century. Methodology. The research methodology consists of the following methods – analysis, synthesis, comparison and historiclogical study. The mentioned methodological apparatus allows determining the factors of formation of folk master’s personality and establish the cause-and-effect connection between their artistic achievements and tendencies of development of folk decorative-applied art of Hutsulshchyna. Scientific Novelty. The scientific novelty of study consists in the realization of complex analysis of the process of formation of master’s personality, in particular, peculiarities of acquisition of professional knowledge and skills. The special attention is paid to family traditions of artistic experience, artistic dynasties among the leading folk artists of the region. We trace the influence of outstanding folk masters on the development of different types of folk art of the region. Conclusions. The personality of folk master was determinant for the development of folk art of Hutsulshchyna of XIX century. Talented masters were creators of novel artistic forms and decent works of art, and their knowledge and creative techniques were adopted not only by trainees, but also by the other masters of the region.
