Individual differences and effective communication during a job interview

Summary/Abstract: In the frame of a project for preparing students to achieve a successful professional start and realization at the labor market an innovative system has been elaborated comprising specialized seminars for acquiring new “basic transferable skills”, necessary for work. In the module “Effective communication” we discuss the dissonance between often used cliché, prefabricated answers to standard questions, and the necessity to identify the individual style and advantages of the job applicant among others. In this context different methods and techniques are discussed coming from various psychological paradigms (NLP, existential humanistic and behavioral) that can be used by the evaluators and by the job applicants.
