Summary/Abstract: The aimof the study isto trace out and analyzethe relationshipandimpact of suchsocio-demographic characteristicssuch as gender,ageandprofessional fieldon thebig fivepersonalityfactorsofpersonalityinyouth. The used questionnaireis for measurement of thefivefactorstructureofpersonality (Big Five model), adapted for Bulgarianconditionsby V. Todorov (Costa & McCrae, 1992). 291 subjectsinyouth (M = 23,18; SD = 4,57) are administered. The results showedthat girlsare characterized byastrongemotional stabilityand openness tonew experiencesthan boys.Studentsofsocial sciencesand humanities are characterized by stronger opennesstonewexperience, than students from technical studies. The age of thestudentshad nostatistically significant impact onthe five factorsoftheir personality.
