Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with ethical and aesthetical issues in the context of censorship and various restrictions on expression. Hence, two types of aesthetics were established: aesthetics-towards-good (intended for achieving the total good, which is unachievable), pertaining to the communist era and associated with the specific manner of censoring called in this particular case ‘banning/allowing’, and aesthetics-towards-evil or distinguishing lesser and greater evils placed and working in a setting of democracy, generally speaking.
