Summary/Abstract: The paper provides a definition of "lexeme" as a word considered in one of its senses but as a sum of all its relevant linguistic properties, relevant properties being those that are sensitive to linguistic rules, including semantic rules. It further describes the types of syntactic information that are included in the entries of the Active dictionary. The paper briefly outlines a new theory of government which underlies the representation of this phenomenon in the Active dictionary, and presents the types of information on the government properties of predicates. The main part of the paper illustrates the above principles with excerpts from several Active dictionary entries of lexemes that possess interesting government properties.
