Summary/Abstract: 2017 is the time of jubilees related to the Marian devotion in Poland and in the world. In the universal Church, the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima is on the forefront. In Poland this year we also recall the 300th anniversary of the coronation of the image of Our Lady at Jasna Góra (1717) and the 140th anniversary of the Marian apparitions in Gietrzwałd (1877). The anniversary of the coronation of the image of Our Lady of the Gate of Dawn in Vilnius on July 2, 1927, seems to have been somewhat forgotten. The worship of Our Lady of Mercy goes far beyond the Vilnius Archdiocese. It is also present in the diocese of Koszalin-Kolobrzeg (Kołobrzeg). This article discusses the preparation and conduct of coronation celebrations and presents two related documents.
