Bankruptcy of consumers in the light of selected legal regulations

Summary/Abstract: In her article, the author touches a very important problem of consumer bankruptcy. She discusses the regulations in force in this respect in the USA, Austria and Germany as the most interesting, and, against this background, the regulation in force in Poland after the amendment of the Act on Bankruptcy and Reconstruction Law. She also pre- sents doubts that may be aroused in practice by the use of the said act.
