Summary/Abstract: The article deals historically with the literature of the Bulgarian settlers in Tavria. The author analyses the relations of this literature to the ideology of the Bolshevik party, its affiliation to the socialist realism and the ties between literature and reality of the 1930s. Literature is considered in the context of both the official periodicals in Soviet Ukraine in the 1920s and 1930s, and in the context of the autobiographical stories, telling about the events of that time:1932-33, the collectivization of the land in the kolkhoz.; the strategies of the Bolshevik Party and the State authorities to construct the so called "New people" - builders of the communist society. The literature of the Bulgarians in Tavria and the pro-ject for the creation of a simplified spelling resulted in raising the literacy and spreading of some literary texts.
