Summary/Abstract: This paper focuses on the relationship between the concept of governance introduced by globalisation and public sector-public relations understanding. The discussion on governance is going to lead to changes in the long turn in the public sector-public relations practice, by the concepts that includes within itself such as “participationism”, “transparency”, “simplicity” of bureaucratic operations and regulation. Moreover, we can expect those changes that are suggested to take place in the understating of administration during the restructuring process will be influential on the public sector’s understanding and practices of public relations. Parallel to this, the current perception of public relations prevailing in the public sector will have to transform from a “public spokesman model” to a “two way symmetrical model” that emphasizes more detailed information sharing, and especially interaction which the study particularly, focuses on this transition.
