Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the article is an investigating the methods of creation in Szczepan Twardoch’s prose. Interpretation of his novel tittled Drach, published in 2014 as an example of new historical output confirms recognition of New Historism. This text, written by using the pattern of saga, shows specific formulation of local Silesian history during the XX century.
