Printed Book in the Global Information Society

Summary/Abstract: Printed book opened the way for the break through of individualism and liberalism. The last phase of the book as mass media that started at the end of second millennium with information revolution, is the appearance of the electronic hyper-book, which is, at the same time negation of the book as printed media, because in its structure it keeps only letters, whilst format is transformed into different electronic equivalents. However, still the biggest discussions are whether, and if yes when, will e-book replace traditional printed ones.
