The Discursive Potential of Prayer: the Question of Transformation of Religious Genre in Space of Art

Summary/Abstract: In the proposed article the author makes an attempt to analyse the aesthetic potential of prayer as a religious-cult genre. Attention is focused on the genetic and ontological causes of organic adaptation of the prayer in a secular cultural space, the features of modification and appearance of the dominant in verbal and nonverbal art forms (literature, painting, sculpture etc.).
