Summary/Abstract: The article looks at pension systems in Poland. Currently, various old-age pension schemes operate in Poland, depending inter alia on professional group (for instance, separate schemes for farmers and military) and date of birth (in 1999 new rules came into force for persons born after 1948). The author overviews these schemes, their contribution plans, benefits, retirement age and other regulatory measures.
