Veceslav Kuznecov – The Creator of the Geocultural Paradigm and the Founder of the Sociology of the Culture of Peace

Summary/Abstract: The author focuses on the contribution of the contemporary Russian sociologist Veceslav Kuznecov to the founding of the geocultural paradigm in contemporary science as well as to the development of the sociology of peace in the system of the sociological sciences. The paper gives a systematic review of the state and tendency from the history of development of sociology in Russia with a special focus on the significance of its sociological tradition. Then it is pointed to key fields of the applied sociologies with Russian sociologists. Then, there is a review of the professional bibliography V. Kuznecova, then the basic ideas of his paradigmatic theoretical conceptions are represented. At the end, the author emphasizes the significance of oeuvre of this Russian sociologists, especially from the point of its foundation and the development of the sociology of safety and the sociology of the culture of peace in the system of contemporary sciences.
