Summary/Abstract: On the basis of a detailed analysis of Habermas’s model of discursive democracy, author of the text brought out the stance that this model, as some sort of alternative model to liberal-representative democracy, is an utopian project, considering the fact of current limitation in implementation of this model on full political system level. However, at the same time the author wanted to underline that the discursive model, being a corrective and complementary element in some aspects and dimensions of existing democratic political systems, may have a significant role in modernization processes and re- democratization of liberal model.
