Summary/Abstract: This paper analyzes of the population of Serbia (excluding Kosovo and Metohia) according to the 2011 census results, with special emphasis on the quantitative and qualitative ethno-demographic changes that have taken place in the last intercensal period (2002- 2011). Changes in the ethnic structure caused by next relevant demographic factors: natural increase, migration and changed declaration on national affiliation. Data analysis of the ethnic composition of Serbia by territorial units (Serbia- North and Serbia- South), by regions (Belgrade region, Vojvodina region, Šumadija and West Serbia region, South and East Serbia region), and within them by areas and municipalities. On the whole, the ethnic picture of the Serbia is a complex one and undergoing changes continuously. Some areas have a more complex ethnic composition, while ethnic homogenization on the population prevails in others, in consequence of different natural growth rates and ethno- centric migrations, as well as many political, socio- economic, cultural and other factors.
