Library as the Heart of the Institute. About the Library at Theological Institute of Lviv Archdiocese

Summary/Abstract: The article presents short report on the seminary library of Lviv Archdiocese which now belongs to the Theological Institute named after St. Józef Bilczewski at Lviv Archdiocese of Latin Rite. Brief historical introduction of the Lviv Archdiocese Seminary and its library has been discussed. Then, in the context of reactivation of Lviv Archdiocese after years of Communist regime, history of its Metropolitan Seminary, Theological Institute and the library has been shown. The library constantly expands. It plays an irreplaceable role in formation of next generations of theologians: priests, members of monastic orders and laity studying at the Theological Institute.
