Conclusions and Recommendations

Summary/Abstract: Segregated education of Roma in the five countries in this study is a reality which is not contested by governments. On the positive side, recognition of the problem has been a step forward towards finding solutions to it. An effective and systematic policy to combat segregation of Roma in education, however, is not in place in any of the countries in this study.
