Summary/Abstract: The article presents disparities in thesocio-economic development of the Polish regions (voivodships). The analysisis carried out on the basis of four indicators: gross domestic product per capita,registered unemployment rate, average monthly gross wages and share of revenuesin total revenues of local government units. The study confirms that Polishvoivodship are characterized by a high degree of inequality in socio economicdevelopment. In the years 2004–2015, regional disparities in Poland becamestronger and the position of poorer regions has deteriorated. Two sets of economicdivides are visible: gap between eastern and western Poland and the gapbetween Mazowieckie region and other regions.
