Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the selected images decorating the interior of the cathedral in Kielce. These from the Middle Ages as well as those from the XVIIth century have been removed during replacement of the equipment in the years 1726-1791; now there are preserved only two images from the XVIIth c.: the painting of the Virgin Mary with the Child and the lead bas-relief on the same subject. The most interesting paintings from the XVIIIth c. are the altarpieces: Assumption of the Virgin Mary painted by Szymon Czechowicz, Holy Trinity (a copy or the author’s replica of image from the St. Trinity church in Kielce attributed to Czechowicz), Miracle of St. John Cantius, a copy of a painting of Tadeusz Kuntze and Crucifixion by Anthony Brygierski. The most venerated image in the church is the picture of the Virgin Mary with the Child placed in the altar which had been taken care by the Rosary Confraternity.
