Summary/Abstract: What is presented in this paper and subjected to the further analysis is a concept of the political unconscious shaped within the seven chapters of a direct, open encounter with history: ’A Tomb for Boris Davidovich – Seven Chapters of a Single Story’ for the purpose of broadening the horizons of human awareness of the symbolic function of literature along with the political echoes of the entire textual apparatus and presenting the cultural work of arts as socially symbolic acts by going beyond the narrow boundaries of the individual and transferring into a new historical and collective dimension. By means of analyzing the biographies of the main characters of the narratives in question along with presenting a series of historical events – various ideologies are being shown in a new light and due to them the text itself turns into a means based on which the power is being reflected back into our social reality.
