Summary/Abstract: The article presents changes in the Slovene language in the period of last 25 years, influenced byforeign languages. Foreign languages’ influences are analized in the context of lexical changes(emphasis is put on the word-formational productivity of new vocabulary) and special attentionis given to lexicographical pesentation of new vocbulary in Dictionary of Recent Vocabulary ofSlovene Language and Slovene Literary Language Dictionary, new, 2nd edition. As expected thebiggest influence on Slovene has English Language, at a lower rate also Italian, German, French,Croatian/Serbian and also Japanese and Arabic (last two through English).
